Rain started falling across Malibu just before 10 this morning, causing people to grab umbrellas and seek shelter where they could.

Diners at Marmalade Cafe scrambled to get under umbrellas set up in the outdoor dining area, while a homeless man on nearby Cross Creek Road climbed under blankets inside a covered bus stop.

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles says more rain is expected, mainly after 11 a.m.

Today’s high will be near 60, under mostly cloudy skies.

Tonight's forecast calls for a chance of showers before 11.
