More than 400 members of the public participated in a Caltrans scoping meeting to discuss the proposed Liberty Canyon wildlife bridge, and not one person present openly opposed the project. 

Instead, the plan to build a wildlife corridor over the 101 Freeway received universal acclaim from officials and the public at the two-hour event at King Gillette Ranch. 

A few participants commented that the unanimous approval was unprecedented.
