More than $12,000 in cash, a cellphone valued at $1,100 and a backpack valued at $150, reportedly were stolen from a vehicle parked on the south side of Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga Canyon. The alleged victim stated that around 9:30 a.m. on June 28, he parked his vehicle and placed his car keys on the passenger rear tire before going to surf. When he returned around 11:45 a.m., he retrieved the keys and entered the vehicle, but noticed the items were missing. He said there was no damage to the vehicle.
