Bruce Carpenter, who lost his family home in the Old Topanga Fire of 1993, is taking advantage of the city of Malibu’s free ignition zone assessment program and adhering to Los Angeles County Fire's Ready! Set! Go! guidelines to help guard against a repeat for he and wife Janette.
