Helping the city and its residents recover and rebuild after the Woolsey Fire was the top priority for the Malibu City Council as it faced its Fiscal Year 2019-20 budget.

At a special meeting held Wednesday, April 24, the council recommended several cuts, including postponing a $1.86 million solar project at City Hall, so the city can possibly waive an anticipated $2.6 million in homeowner rebuild fees associated with the fire.
