Proposals to replace the nearly century-old Trancas Creek bridge with a modern, wider one featuring bike lanes, and add a right turn lane from Pacific Coast Highway to Trancas Canyon Road will be the focus of a meeting July 15 hosted by Caltrans and the city of Malibu.

The $12.5 million bridge project entails getting rid of the existing 85-foot wide, 90-foot-long concrete span across the creek, built in 1927, and replacing it with a concrete bridge 105 feet wide and 240 feet long.
