If your plans for Independence Day include a trip to a local beach, better change them now.

On Monday, officials ordered the closure of all Los Angeles County beaches, including in Malibu, from 10 a.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, as a way of containing the spread of COVID-19.

The move came as the confirmed cases in Malibu topped 50, and fears of a shortage of available ICU beds in L.A. County increased.
