Small business owners in Los Angeles County affected by the recent riots have until Aug. 17 to apply for a disaster recovery loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The business must have sustained physical or property damage in the riots that began on May 26.

Under the plan, businesses and private nonprofits may borrow up to $2 million.
