The Sharks clung to their first place tie with Cate in the Frontier League after their 8-6 victory Wednesday, Feb. 5, over Carpinteria.

Malibu came out strong, notching in two goals early in the first period. But the Warriors got past Sharks’ goalie Sara Toussieng’s blocks and found the back of the net for the first time with 1:30 left in the period.
