The Malibu High School girls basketball team squandered a 12-0 lead and fell to the Thatcher Toads, 24-23, on Thursday, Jan. 8.

Junior center Kendall Jordan led the Sharks with 11 points and 12 rebounds, while sophomore Nina Hungerland chipped in with eight points and five blocks.

The Sharks committed 20 turnovers in the game, which directly contributed to them giving up easy points.
