Two headers are better than none.
The Malibu High School girls soccer team used their heads on offense as it advanced to the second round of the CIF-SS playoffs by defeating the Marlborough Mustangs 5-3 on Thursday, Feb. 19.
Two different Malibu players scored headers, and four total players scored at least one goal.
The Sharks started early in the first half with midfielder Abby Blackwood’s shot straight to the Mustang keeper’s hands. The ball bounded right to forward Ella Worrell-McKinna, who scored.
