Big trucks go rolling by

With the rubble of our lives.

We worry and wonder

Will we ever really survive?

Celebrity and wealth

Have robbed us of our souls,

Ravaged our lives and

Turned our diamonds into coal.

We are still surrounded by

Nature’s beauty, mountains high

And ocean’s wide,

Missing is the serenity that’s

Been tragically cast aside.

The charm, the charm,

It’s enough to make you cry.
