The Malibu Surfside News is reporting that 3,685 fire personnel, 544 fire engines, and 22 helicopters were involved in fighting the Woolsey Fire in Malibu. Really? This in spite of residents in neighborhood after neighborhood describing a complete lack of fire fighting presence. As someone who chose to stay and fight, my perspective is that the air war was average but there were no boots on the ground. The citizens of Malibu are owed a thorough explanation of where and what resources were deployed during this tragic event.
