Access to excellent medical care has never been more critical. Individuals may get injured or become sick with illnesses unrelated to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Yet many of you are understandably concerned about visiting emergency departments at this time.
As we continue to observe stay-at-home restrictions and maintain social distancing, the physicians and staff at Malibu Urgent Care have resolved to keep their doors open and continue to care for our community. Our staff frequently and rigorously sanitize our facility, and our medical directors closing monitor the latest CDC recommendations. We adhere to the highest standards of personal protection equipment for both patients and staff.
We should consider ourselves blessed to have a facility staffed by emergency room physicians with access to imaging, laboratory and telemedicine services. The operation of Malibu Urgent Care is much more expensive to maintain than a doctor’s office, and with the decreased patient volume related to the pandemic and recent Woolsey Fire, your support of the Friends of Malibu Urgent Care is more essential than ever.
Our organization has been subsidizing the Malibu Urgent Care monthly since 2002 when it was preparing to close. Thanks to Malibu residents like many of you, we’ve kept the doors open until now. Please consider this a donation to yourself and your family, as this is the only facility that provides walk-in services for Malibu 365 days a year. Friends is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) (Tax ID #91-2164055) organization and 100% of the funds go to the support of the urgent care center. Your donation can be sent to Friends of Malibu Urgent Care (FMUCC) P.O. Box 6836, Malibu, 90264. Or go to www.FriendsofMUC.org.
