With pandemic restrictions easing, Easter will feel a lot like 2019 for many.

When the governor ordered the closure of so-called nonessential services last year, church was on the list.

It was all about saving the public from COVID-19.

Let others duke it out over whether there was a greater bad at work. For believers, no act of man will ever overpower their desire for the essentials of worship.

If a trip to church on Easter is part of your plans, services are to be found in Malibu.

Malibu Pacific Church, 3324 Malibu Canyon Road, will have Easter Sunday service on-site at 9 and 11 a.m., outdoors on the patio.

Masks will be required.

You can watch the services in your pajamas (or your Sunday best) at malibupacific.church.

Easter Sunday service is already at capacity at Our Lady of Malibu, 3625 Winter Canyon Road, but there’s overflow available in the church parking lot. Register at olmalibu.org.

Waveside Church will stream its Easter service 10 a.m. Sunday at wavesidechurch.com.

The Malibu United Methodist Church will stream its Easter Sunday worship service starting at 10:30 via Zoom; passcode 5742502.

The Easter Sunday service for Malibu Gathering, 6425 Busch Drive, takes place at 10 a.m. The service is also live on the church’s Facebook page.
