About 1,000 people in the Topanga Canyon area remain under mandatory evacuation orders because of the Palisades Fire.
No structures are threatened and no one has been injured in the 750-acre blaze, which started on Friday and as of this morning was put at 0 percent containment.
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews are battling the blaze on the ground and with assistance from fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.
Some of the vegetation hasn’t burned in more than 50 years.
Some reports indicate a man last seen in the area of Trailer Canyon Trailhead is being sought on suspicion of setting several blazes.
Authorities so far have publicly called the cause of the fire a “suspicious start.”
Topanga Canyon Road closed between Mulholland and Pacific Coast Highway.
Officials in Malibu are monitoring the fire.
