The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District is planning to be in session on Monday, Oct. 28, after Malibu schools were closed on the prior Friday.
Malibu Pathway Director Isaac Burgess issued an email late in the morning of Sunday, Oct. 27, to inform parents and students of the district's decision.
"Based on current wind, weather and power conditions, all four Malibu schools will be open," the email states.
Burgess adds that the district will continue to monitor conditions overnight, and any changes would be noticed by 6:15 a.m. Monday.
