Known for its detailed automotive hygiene experience, Buzz Wax Malibu is working hard to continue taking care of their clients during the coronavirus pandemic, but it certainly hasn’t been easy.

“Our family is grateful to be healthy and safe and we thank all those who are working to keep us safe,” said owner Buzz Cadenhead. “The lockdown has been financially devastating. We have closed all of our locations.”

To continue some business, Cadenhead said they have continued servicing customers at their homes, but added people are also not driving a lot during this time. 

“We have tried to pivot by introducing errand running and really whatever assistance we can offer at a reasonable rate,” he said. “Safety-first is our No. 1 rule. That means hygiene and distance for our safety and our customers. 

“Unfortunately, the demand is not there to pay our bills so we have gone into our savings, private and family loans and applied for SBA loans.”

Buzz Wax, which has been serving Malibu for the past 10 years, has four other locations outside Malibu including the Riviera Country Club and Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, North Ranch Country Club in Westlake and The Griffin Club in Los Angeles.

With all locations currently closed, Cadenhead is trying to remain positive.

“Buzz Wax is determined to survive,” he said. “We want all of our community and customers to survive, too. We are all in this together. Whatever we can do to help, we will.”
