The past year was a trying one for all of Malibu, as we experienced plenty of loss with the Woolsey Fire decimating the community. A lot of homes were lost in the fires, and we all endure a difficult recovery process.
We at 4 Malibu look forward to rebuilding with the rest of you in 2019, a year I really believe will be a year of opportunity and growth. We are going to do whatever we can to help rebuild Malibu and maintain confidence in the community we all love.
The process is not completely new to us. 4 Malibu has been through rebuilding after wildfires. Many in our team grew up here or have lived here. We are here to assist residents through permit processes to design and build homes; we have connections to everything from buildings to architects to planners and designers; we have been fighting the good fight with local government, while paying attention to what will be done, and what the rules and regulations are for rebuilding. Victims of the fire are a priority.

As for 2018, Malibu kicked off the year on a high note, with a boost in sales momentum that remained for most of the year. In total, from information provided by MLS CLAW, 211 homes — 56 on the beach — were sold in Malibu in 2018. Another 414 leases were signed, 57 condos/townhomes were sold and 43 land sales were made.
While we look back and cheer these numbers together, 4 Malibu also celebrates two exciting moments of success for in 2018. First, 4 Malibu agent Andy Lyon was part of the largest land transfer in 2018 and second, 4 Malibu secured a signature beach sale in mid Malibu.
We are striving for more celebration and prosperity in 2019 in the wake of the tragic wildfire. And through it all, we’ll be here for you, Malibu.
