In response to the Woolsey Fire, Listening Post volunteers are welcoming Malibu community members to a new, ongoing Monday afternoon Support Group, being held from 1-3 p.m. at Malibu United Methodist Church.

The purpose of the group is to provide emotional support for anyone affected by the Woolsey Fire. Discussions will be held in the strictest confidentiality.

Trained facilitators, including Lisa Cypers Kamen, MA, a positive psychologist coach and lifestyle management expert, and Susan Quillan, MA, RN and Nurse Practitioner in Medical Primary Care and Wellness (including stress management, depression care and research at UCLA), will be present to guide the experience.

Ongoing Monday afternoon meetings begin on Dec. 10 in the sanctuary of the Malibu United Methodist Church, 30128 Morning View Drive.

The Malibu Listening Post is a non-denominational, non-fee community outreach service sponsored by the Malibu United Methodist Church.
