An air attack by water-dropping helicopters and SuperScoopers under contract from the government of Quebe, Canada, is allowing Los Angeles County Fire Department crews to keep a handle on a vegetation fire at Pacific Coast Highway and John Tyler Drive.

There’s a half-acre burning near the highway and up to an acre and a half burning closer to the ocean.

Traffic on PCH will be affected for some time.

No structures are threatened.

At 5:45, crews were also dealing with a car fire on PCH at Corral Canyon Road as well as another on Topanga Canyon just north of PCH.
