Beginning on Monday, April 20, the California Incline in Santa Monica will be closed for construction, affecting commutes into and out of Malibu for approximately one year and overlapping with other Pacific Coast Highway construction projects.

As one of the main thoroughfares connecting Santa Monica and other adjacent cities to the ocean, the California Incline bridge and roadway will undergo construction to meet current seismic standards, the majority of which are funded by the California Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.
