Two brush fires in the Calabasas area are rapidly burning uphill as Los Angeles County firefighters work to protect structures.
The first, reported by a passerby near Mulholland Highway and Malibu Canyon Road at 2:56 p.m. spanned two acres as of roughly 3:30 p.m. and was classified as a second alarm fire, according to Fire Capt. Keith Mora. Mora added that it was “moving uphill pretty rapidly.”
