A seven-acre brush fire along Mulholland Highway, in an unincorporated area of the Santa Monica Mountains, is burning uphill, posing no immediate threat to Malibu at this time.

LA County Fire Department officials were initially dispatched at 12:49 p.m., LA County Fire Inspector Joey Marron said, when just two acres were burning. As of 1:50 p.m., about 115 firefighters were on site after the blaze was upgraded to a second-alarm fire, Marron said.

Two helicopters are also on scene.
