Polls closed at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, for the off-year election, with 100 percent of precincts in California reporting results by 3:11  a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

This year, voters re-elected Governor Jerry Brown for a fourth term – an unprecedented political feat in California. Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom also retained his position alongside Brown.
