The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.3-magnitude earthquake at 7:19 a.m. Thursday, May 25, approximately 10 miles west of the coast of Malibu.

However, the quake seems to have gone mostly unnoticed by residents of Malibu.

As of roughly 11 a.m. Thursday, neither Battalion 5 of the Los Angeles County Fire Department nor the Malibu/Lost Hill’s Sheriff’s Department had received any calls for service tied to the earthquake.
