With racquets in hand, approximately 15 children in the City of Malibu’s tennis camp had the opportunity last week to learn the basics of tennis.

Instructed by Malibu High School tennis coach Bruce Young, the children lobbed tennis balls against walls and toward each other.

Assisting Young were Alex Barton, Delaney Fahrerty and Joey Marshall, members of the Malibu High School girls’ tennis team.

In addition to working hard to learn stroke production, serving and footwork through scrimmages and drills, the children had the opportunity to make new friends and possibly discover a new passion.

The final session of the tennis summer camp will conclude this Friday.
