Senior Center to host two workshops

The Malibu Senior Center will host two workshops focused on the health and nutrition of senior citizens at Malibu City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road, on Monday, Aug. 11, and Wednesday, Aug. 13. 

Nutritional Therapy Workshop

The Malibu Senior Center will host a Nutritional Therapy Workshop from noon-1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11. Participants will learn about nutrition programs that can boost the immune system and restore health. The workshop is free and will be held at the
Malibu Senior Center located at City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road.

Rob Lowis, a practitioner of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, energy exercises and nutritional therapy, will discuss the benefits of eating healthy and nutrition the body needs to restore health naturally.

Free Workshop: ‘Conquering the 3 D’s with Nutrition’

The Malibu Senior Center will host a free talk entitled “Conquering the 3 D’s with Nutrition” on Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 11 a.m.-noon. 

The presentation will help identify the 3 Ds — dementia, drive and depression — then demonstrate how nutrition and exercise can be remedies to those issues while helping to manage and maintain one’s overall health.
