Malibu Country Mart Hosts Night of Cutting Edge Fashion

• Hot Runway Show and Style Q&A Will Be Accompanied by L.A.'s Coolest Ice Cream

The Malibu Country Mart will be the place to be for Malibu's fashonistas—and fashonistos—on Thursday, Sept 8, from 6-10 p.m.for the shopping center"s premiere fall fashion show.

The evening will feature "an intimate audience Q&A forum, hosted by celeb stylist Taylor Jacobson," the event invitation states.

Jacobson, the platinum blond, no-nonsense stylist who created a name for herself on the reality TV show "The Rachel Zoe Project," and recently launched her own line of clothing, will offer tips and advice during the session.

More than 25 of the Mart's 65 shops will be participating, with "exciting in-store events."

Tra di Noi restaurant will be providing a succulent assortment of Italian-style appetizers—rumor has it that the sublime bruschetta con gamberi alla griglia (toasted bread with basil, garlic, cherry tomatoes and grilled shrimp) may be on the menu.

 Hand-crafted ice cream sandwiches created by Coolhaus, and served in retro-funky style from the Coolhaus chrome-and-pink converted postal truck, will also be served.

Participants will have an opportunity to sample wines and spirits and to enter to win a "Fall Goody Bag," filled with "Taylor's top picks from Malibu Country Mart retailers."

The fashion event offers a relaxed and exciting evening of cutting edge fashion, shopping and entertainment for Malibu residents without the stress or traffic of driving into town. Electric car drivers can take advantage of the center's new charging station and fill up while they relax.
