Malibu-based nonprofit Safety Harbor Kids held its 9th Annual Polo Classic in Pacific Palisades on Sept. 10.

The event’s proceeds were to go toward event costs and furthering Safety Harbor Kids’ educational programs.

The event included performances from Malibu resident and Grammy winning guitarist Albert Lee, Argentine singer Josefina Achaval, Italian singer Maria Elena Infantino, cabaret performers and performers from Dream World Cirque. Author Marnie Greenberg, who is known for co-creating the Yuen Method of stress relief, also demonstrated her services.

Attendees also took part in a silent auction, luncheon and wine tastings.

Safety Harbor Kids is a 501c3 nonprofit formed for the purpose of enriching the lives of parentless and homeless children through education in the areas of college, career, the arts and personal growth.

On Oct. 4, the organization will hold a Jackson Browne solo acoustic benefit concert at Ventura Theater, located at 26 S. Chestnut Street. For more information on Safety Harbor Kids, visit
