Checkpoint nets 20 arrests
The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station conducted a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint between 7 p.m. on April 4 and 3 a.m. on April 5, arresting 20 individuals under various circumstances.
By the conclusion of the checkpoint, three individuals suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol were arrested.
Three other suspects were arrested for outstanding traffic courts. Another three suspects were arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license.
Ten individuals were arrested for driving without drivers’ licenses.
One individual was arrested for refusing to comply with checkpoint procedures.
Throughout the duration of the checkpoint, 1,330 vehicles passed through and 1,150 drivers were checked.
Nine vehicles of arrested suspects were released per checkpoint procedures, three vehicles were impounded for 30 days and one vehicle was stored for one day.
