The Ranch at Solstice Canyon — a four-part, food, drink and fashion destination — has now opened on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on the five-acre property that formerly housed the BeauRivage restaurant.
Purchased from Daniel Forge two years ago by Morris Gerson Family, Inc. — creator of Malibu Cafe at the Calamigos Ranch off of Kanan Road in Malibu — renovations and improvements to the property were halted by a fire that caused $400,000 in damage less than a week after property was sold.
The location now boasts a restaurant — the Malibu Roadhouse — a craft beer tap and tasting room — the Driftwood Bar — a fashion and active wear boutique — Otte Calamigos — and another outdoor bar — the Tasting Room.
The restaurant’s general manager Valentino Caceres is looking forward to bringing unique aspects to the Malibu coastline that previously hadn’t existed. The Driftwood bar will feature 10 different craft beers that will rotate on a monthly basis.
“It’ll be great to come in off the beach and have a unique, craft beer with this view,” Caceres said.
Caceres defined the Roadhouse’s cuisine as “eclectic Californian,” with menu items like beer can chicken and vegetarian Bu ramen, among others.
With a vast change in decor and ambience, former patrons of the BeauRivage have had the opportunity to view the changes since the Roadhouse’s soft opening on Aug. 1.
“People are really loving the views and the brightness with the casual decor,” Caceres said. “We’re hoping for the business and the customers to organically evolve into something bigger.”
The Ranch at Solstice Canyon is located at 26025 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
