Malibu-held luncheon celebrates International Medical Corps

Global humanitarian organization International Medical Corps held its annual Malibu Women to Women Luncheon at the home of Alexis Deutsch-Adler and Robert Adler on May 5. 

Bringing together approximately 200 supporters of the organization’s relief work in more than 35 countries worldwide, the luncheon featured remarks by president and CEO Nancy Aossey, event chairwoman Victoria Sutherland and a question-and-answer segment with Chris Skopec, International Medical Corps’ Senior Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response.  

Moderating the Q-and-A was former “Good Day LA” anchor Dorothy Lucey. The speakers highlighted preeminent First Responder International Medical Corps’ mission to relieve suffering and train local communities in areas affected by natural disaster, disease and violent conflict.

The luncheon committee consisted of Laurie Cappello, Alexis Deutsch-Adler, Gina Deutsch-Zakarin, Debbie Fisher, Jacqueline Forbes, Jennifer Kell and Victoria Sutherland.
