Documentary filmmakers Rory Kennedy and Mark Bailey have built a reputation for tackling complex and difficult subjects in films like “Last Days in Vietnam,” and “Ghosts of Abu Ghraib.” Although it may sound like their latest film, “Take Every Wave: The Life of Laird Hamilton,” is a departure for the husband and wife filmmaking team, it isn’t a typical surf movie.
