Malibu Film Society screens ‘Hector and the Search for Happiness’

The Malibu Film Society screened “Hector and the Search for Happiness” on Thursday, July 31, at the Malibu Jewish Center and Synagogue.

The film follows British psychiatrist Hector as he travels the world in search of what makes people happy.

The film will be released in theaters Sept. 19.

Actor Simon Pegg, the film’s star, as well as director Peter Chelsom, fielded questions from members of the audience following the screening.

Tickets for the Malibu Film Society’s screenings of “A Hard Day’s Night” on Aug. 8 and Aug. 9 for the society’s 50th anniversary celebration.

Both screenings will also feature book signings and a question-and-answer session with Ivor Davis, the journalist who traveled with The Beatles for its entire first U.S. concert tour. 

Davis’ new book, “The Beatles and Me on Tour,” was recently released.
