Chris Falk is a senior catcher on the Malibu High School baseball team.

How long have you been playing baseball and how did you get started?

I started playing T-ball when I was young. My mom got me into it. She played softball when she was in high school.

What’s your favorite thing about baseball and why?

It’s a full team sport — you can’t rely on one person to do the majority of the work. Everyone has to be a part of it in order to win.

Do you have any rituals or traditions you do before a big game?

I wear the same set of clothes to school every single game day. I usually listen to music throughout the day, too.

What is your favorite subject in school and why?

Math because there is always an answer to the questions and it’s always just one answer.

What are you plans for after high school graduation?

My coach is helping me get into Oxnard or Ventura, wherever I’ll get more playing time. I’m going to take EMT and fire science classes there and then go into the fire academy.

What did you get out of this baseball season?

I think, mostly, we made a name for ourselves as a program. We went farther than we’ve ever been and now we’ve led the way for programs after us to keep going farther and farther.

If you could speak any other language fluently, what would it be and why?

German because it sounds really awesome and I’m part German, so it feels like it would fit.

What is your favorite band or artist?

Eminem. I’ve just always connected with his music.

Who is your role model in life and why?

I just look up to my family in general. I’m the youngest out of all of them, so if I’m not trying to do what they’re doing, I’m at least learning from them to better myself.

What is your favorite place in Malibu to spend time?

Probably Leo Carillo Beach.
