A bit of trivia: How many “Miles of Scenic Beauty” are in Malibu? 

If your answer is “27,” as noted on the wind-battered welcome signs at either end of the city — a popular photo spot for tourists — think again.

Malibu Mayor Lou La Monte unveiled a new welcome sign on Friday, March 31, at a City Hall event that says Malibu, in fact, has “21 Miles of Scenic Beauty.”
