LVMWD Rate Adjustments for Malibu Fire Victims

At its Jan. 8 meeting, the Board of Las Virgenes Municipal Water District approved rate adjustments for victims of the recent Malibu fires. The action authorizes full forgiveness of charges for the billing period during which a home was destroyed and partial credits will be allowed for customers in the fire-impacted area who used an extraordinary amount of water during the billing period, under the assumption that above-average water use occurred in an effort to protect life and property.
