NEWS ALERT


PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY LANE CLOSURE BETWEEN
WINDING WAY AND RAMIREZ MESA DRIVE

The California Department of Transportation has announced that one northbound lane of Pacific Coast Highway between Winding Way and Ramirez Mesa will be closed on Wednesday, September 26, Thursday, September 27 and Monday, October 1 through Thursday, October 4 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. for work by Verizon.

Caltrans reminds motorists to “Slow For The Cone Zone.”

PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY LANE CLOSURE BETWEEN
CROSS CREEK ROAD AND CARBON CANYON ROAD

The California Department of Transportation announced that one southbound lane of Pacific Coast Highway between Cross Creek Road and Carbon Canyon Road may be closed Monday, September 24, through Wednesday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to replace signal loop detectors.

Caltrans has issued an encroachment permit for this work.

Caltrans advises motorists to “Slow For The Cone Zone.”

PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY LANE CLOSURE BETWEEN

ZUMA VIEW ROAD AND PARADISE COVE ROAD

The California Department of Transportation announced
that one southbound lane of Pacific Coast Highway between Zuma View
Road and Paradise Cove Road will be closed from of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
Thursday, September 20, to facilitate paving on Paradise Cove Road.
Caltrans has issued an encroachment permit for this work.

PCH LANE CLOSURES

THE EAST END

The California Department of Transportation announced it
will intermittently close one lane of PCH in each direction from McClure Tunnel to Topanga Canyon Road, nightly from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., from now through Friday, September 14, as part of the adaptive signal project.

BETWEEN HEATHERCLIFF ROAD AND MULHOLLAND HIGHWAY
Caltrans also announced the closure of one north and southbound lane on Pacific Coast Highway between Heathercliff Road and Mulholland Highway between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 16 for the Malibu Triathlon for The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Caltrans has issued an encroachment permit for this special event.

Pepperdine University Step Forward Day

Pepperdine coordinates a day of service in Malibu, as well as greater Los Angeles and Ventura counties. This year, over 1500 students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends will gather on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 8, to kick off what is known as Step Forward Day, Pepperdine University's 19th annual day of collective volunteer service.

Roma Downey from the television show "Touched by an Angel" will speak to the crowd of volunteers at Eddy D. Field Stadium before they embark on the day's activities.

Some of the local locations where volunteers will assist on Saturday include:
