Closures Scheduled for Pacific Coast Highway Affecting Malibu

The California Department of Transportation will close portions of PCH (SR-1), both north- and southbound, from the McClure Tunnel to Malibu Canyon Road, daily, August 22 through August 24, 2007, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for storm drain cleaning.

Closures are subject to change.

Caltrans advises motorists to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”

Pacific Coast Highway Closures Scheduled

The California Department of Transportation will close one lane of north- and southbound PCH from McClure Tunnel to Topanga Canyon Boulevard nightly beginning Monday, Aug. 20, through Friday, Aug. 24 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Intermittent lane closures will be limited to one lane in each direction. The closure is required to continue installation of the Adaptive Traffic Signal Control System.

Detours will be posted. Motorists are advised to expect delays during construction hours.

The project is anticipated to complete in October 2007. Caltrans reminds motorists to "Slow For the Cone Zone."
