Malibu receives new historic designation

Malibu’s Surfrider Beach, pier and lagoon are now officially part of the Malibu Historic District. The new designation is the first entry for the first surf history site in the National Register of Historic Places.

Patricia Olsen Greenwood, 78, of Malibu, died unexpectedly and peacefully at her home on Jan. 6. 

She was born in Bridgeport, CT, and moved to Malibu in 1972 after living in Pacific Palisades for a decade.
